and where to find me

Some unexpected delights have arrived recently, and it’s time to give glory and thanks to God! A few days ago, I learned that The Bicycle Messenger received a second-place award for fiction from the Association of Catholic Publishers. Many thanks to the judges and to the talented editors at Chrism Press who shepherded the novel to publication. I love this graphic they made, and I’d just like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to visit the Chrism Press website and browse the many wonderful books on offer. Every single title at Chrism is beautifully crafted and edited and worthy of your attention.

Secondly, I really enjoyed speaking with Kiki Latimer of The Catholic Bookworm. Our discussion ranged over many topics, including adoption, a child’s right to dignity, the impact of keeping secrets, and the ways in which a diagnosis of mental illness colors our perceptions. Kiki shared insights and experiences that really resonated with me. I encourage you to follow her show! You can watch on YouTube below—or, if you prefer a podcast format, you can listen here.

The Bicycle Messenger is also making its way into some local independent bookstores! Pick up a copy at Lakeside Books in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to enjoy beside the water. You’ll love this cozy bookstore with its reading nook and its cool arch constructed entirely of books.

Finally, I’m really looking forward to an upcoming Meet at Greet at Blue House Books in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Sunday, June 7 from 11:00 a.m. Stop by to browse and chat! And once again, many thanks for reading. It means the world to me.
